Adriano Marinelli

Adriano Marinelli was born in 2005 in Naples, Italy. At the age of 14, Adriano discovered Nick Drake, and soon after Elliott Smith, which led him to study acoustic guitar and experiment with alternative tunings. During high school at a music conservatory, he explored classical composition, incorporating orchestral elements into his songwriting — as can be heard in Behind the Ruins, the closing track of the album. In late 2023, Adriano met Giorgio Pasculli, marking the beginning of the collaboration that would lead to the creation of Apple Red Sky’s album, his first step into the world of independent alternative music. Adriano’s sound is characterized by fluid acoustic arpeggios, whispered vocals, and vast sonic atmospheres that move seamlessly between distorted electric guitars and more delicate, crystalline tones.
